By default you will search documents containing all the typed words. For example, if you search possible criminal event, the results will show documents containing the word criminal, possible and event in any order in the document. It does not distinguish capital letters, lower cases or accents.
Use quotes: Use the concepts in quotes for a literal search , as for example: extra-contractual liability action . You can combine them with other search terms, for example: compensation is estimated partially the extra-contractual liability action quantification
With all the words: This type of search is the one offered by default in the search engine. With it, the search engine locates the documents that include all the terms of your request.
With the exact phrase: Locate those results that exactly match the terms of the request. With this type of search a minimum variation is allowed.
Proximity: Find the results that match all the terms in the search field with proximity between the searched words.
With any of the words: The search engine locates those results that contain some, not necessarily all, of the terms specified in the search field.
TOL reference: It is the search for marginal. It is especially useful for locating specific documents when your TOL number is known. This search option is possible from any of our search engines, just enter the reference number TOL (eg TOL1229740) to locate the exact document.
The search engine allows the use of logical operators Y
and NO. Pressing one of these buttons you will enter the character corresponding with that button in the search field. These characters and their meaning are:
Y (character ): for example, if we search accident compensation, all documents containing the expression accident AND the expression compensation will be searched. This is the default search and it is the equivalent to searching accident compensation.
O (character |): for example, if we search accident | compensation, all documents containing the expression accident OR the expression compensation will be searched. That is, you will search documents containg one of those expressions.
NO (character !): for example, if we search accident ! compensation, all documents containing the expression accident will be searched and not those which contain the expression compensation.
